STAMPIN BLENDS STORAGE CASE

Hello Everyone,

Today I have a different project for you.   I wanted a storage solution for my Stampin' Blends that was practical, took up minimal space and would be easy to make.

While I made the storage pockets, the credit goes to Hannah Jones from HanCrafted Creations.  Hannah is a demonstrator in the UK and graciously allowed me to share her video instructions with you all.

You know I like a little bling on my projects, so I added some of the gold vinyl stickers to bling it up a little.

If you would like to watch the video on how to make these please CLICK HERE  (Instructions start at 12 mins 45 seconds into the video)

Once again, thank you Hannah for allowing me to share this x

TUTTI FRUTTI AND FLOWER BASKET CARD

I love this bright and colourful Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (dsp) with its cute fruit designs.  There are great combinations you can use with this paper.   Today I chose the kiwi fruit and berries.

To make the card I used whisper white for the card base, I then cut out 1 1/2" square mats in black cardstock and 1 1/4" squares of the dsp.  I adhered both of these together and then placed them on the card base.  To add some bling to the card I used tutti frutti adhesive sequins, clear faceted gems and glitter enamel dots.  Then lastly added the "You are the Sweetest" sentiment from the Fruit Basket stamp set.

All products used to make this card are listed below.  If you would like to purchase any of them, just click on the item you would like and it will take you to my online store.

UNINKED STAMPIN' SPOTS HITS THE SPOT

Today I don't have a card for you but rather a little project I have done to help with some craft organisation.  Have you seen our uninked Stampin spots?  These little gems found in the annual catalogue, are a great way to have every colour in the collection. They are also perfect if you are limited for space, or like me, when travelling have minimal storage.  To utilise the inkspots I have labelled them on the top and bottom and inked them with every Stampin' Up! colour.

I bought a packet of round 24mm white self adhesive labels and I added one to the top and the bottom of each individual inkspot.  On one label I wrote the ink colour name and the other a sample of the colour using our markers.    Using the reinkers I loaded all the inkspot sponges with the colour to match the label.   I found both the labels and case at Officeworks.

The A4 document case with two clasps holds all 48 colours in the Stampin' Up range as well as extras for versamark, archival black, memento and a few spares.  As the inkspots need to be stored upside down (to keep the ink at the top of the pad) this case works brilliantly.  It has a secure clasp which not only keeps it shut tight, but makes it easy to rotate to either see the colours or the names of the inkspots.

When I buy the normal sized inkpads I always buy the matching reinker so therefore I always have enough to re-ink either a normal inkpad or inkspots.

Hope you are having a great day, and that you found this craft organisational tip helpful.

PERFECT TIMING FOR A THANK YOU CARD

Yesterday was not a good day.  After producing six cards I placed them on the sideboard so I could reward myself by making a banana smoothie.  Just as I was about to pour it out of the blender into the glass I knocked the whole thing over .....and you can guess where it went!!  Yes, all over my cards!!!

Then I spent the next 30 mins cleaning up sticky banana milk from the bench, cupboards and floor and then sadly throwing all six cards in the bin.

If that wasn't enough, I had been waiting for my BBB (big brown box) full of goodies from Stampin' Up!  Aussie Post tracking indicated that it was coming yesterday and I was waiting patiently (well sort of lol) all day for the tracking to update and tell me that it was ready and waiting at the local Post Office.  It didn't update all day!!!  So at 4pm yesterday I went down to the Post Office, only to find that my parcel had not been scanned but had been sitting there all day waiting for me to pick it up.

Why am I telling you all of this?  We all have terrible days, stuff happens.  I just wanted my parcel to arrive to sort of, make my day a bit better :)  Little did I realise that there was something else in the mail that was way better than a BBB.

I got the cutest card from my downline Kerry.  I tell you what, I sat in the car with a few tears while reading the lovely words she wrote......Kerry you have no idea how much that card hit the spot after my day!!  Thank you so much xx

Here is my lovely card, isn't it beautiful?

I hope you are having a good day today, if not, always remember good things can happen on bad days.

GREAT BIG GREETINGS - CONGRATULATIONS JESSIE!

It's so exciting when one of your fellow team members achieves a milestone in their Stampin' Up! business.  To celebrate her achievement I made this card using Great Big Greetings stamp set as it pretty much says it all!

Jessie Holton promoted to Silver Elite so it was only fitting to heat embossing the sentiment in silver embossing powder and finish off with a few sequins.

Congratulations, Jessie!
